¡Hola!,
I’m Cristina.
The heart behind Fluent Nomads.

Sixteen years ago, I packed my bags in a small Spanish town and stepped into the unknown. What began as a search for language skills quickly became something much deeper: a lifelong adventure of connection, curiosity, and cultural discovery.
My first stop was London, where English became my key to new worlds, unlocking friendships, opportunities, and a sense of independence I’d never known before. From there, life took me through Ireland, Switzerland, and Mexico City. Each place leaving its mark, shaping not only how I communicate but how I see people and the world.
Along the way, I’ve taught English and Spanish to children, guided adults through professional training programs, and built a career in marketing and events; always drawn to one passion: helping people connect across languages and cultures.
Today, I’m completing my certification as a Spanish teacher at the University of Salamanca, one of the world’s most respected institutions for Spanish language and cultural studies.
After so many years abroad, I’ve learned that language is more than words, it’s a bridge. It’s how we share who we are, how we belong. Living in different countries has given me a unique blend of perspectives: a mix of global experiences and deep Spanish roots that I now bring into everything I do.
That’s what inspired Fluent Nomads: a space where people don’t just learn Spanish, but experience it.
My mission here is that you gain the language skills and the cultural confidence to adapt to a new country, connect with local people, and feel truly at home wherever your journey takes you.
